CARARA BIOLOGICAL RESERVA.
This4700Ha reserve forms an oasis for
wildlife from a large surrounding area.
Carara offers a rich biodiversity due to its
transitional position between the dry
northern forest and the humid tropical
forests of the south.
Carara has fauna and
flora from both ecosystems and a virgin
forest that covers most of the park.
This
reserve is known for its abundant birds and
also for being one of the last habitats in
Costa Rica of the Scarlet Macaw.
Departs 7am and 2:30pm,
Returns 11:30am and 6:00pm
